To raise productivity and increase the
quality of our products, the management in Sherborne came to
the conclusion that new equipment was needed.
At our headquarters in Germany on 27th October 2004, P-D Group president Mr Preiss-Daimler
and the Supervisory Board of the Preiss-Daimler Group agreed
on a €3.6 million investment plan to roll out over the next twelve months.
This financial support gave us the opportunity to purchase a new coating machine
for the ATEX range, four wide-width looms, batching units, warp
and doffing trucks as well as modernising the plant’s air conditioning system.
Since then the benefits of these improvements have been appreciated by both staff and customers
alike.
